Seeking Nashville birthday ideas to make the most of your big day? Keep reading for 12 of our favorite Nashville birthday ideas to get you inspired while planning. And sure – it’s the Music City, so quite a few of the ideas on this list will be music-related. But there’s tons of other stuff to do in Nashville, too, if you’d prefer a different kind of birthday activity.

1. Step into a whole new world with VR

One of our favorite Nashville birthday ideas: if you’ve never had the opportunity to try virtual reality, visit The Rabbit Hole VR. They have an impressive VR Arcade with a variety of challenging and engaging games, as well as a “Free Roam Arena” where you can play multiplayer games with groups of friends for your birthday.

2. Go to a super fun drag show by Music City Dolls

Music City Dolls Dueling Drag Show is a 90-minute show geared toward “bachelorettes, birthdays, or just the need of a fun day on the town.” But what is a dueling drag show, specifically? It’s a creative and interactive concept where “the Dolls will Duel it out with each other, Duel for your attention, and your guest of honor will get a chance to Duel it out with others in the crowd for prizes.” This Nashville birthday idea is by far one of the most fun options on our list.

3. Find the ideal party venue using Peerspace to throw an epic birthday party

Source: Peerspace

Peerspace is the internet’s largest marketplace for event venue rentals as well as hourly rentals of all kinds, and it can help you find an amazing Nashville venue for your birthday bash if you end up going with this Nashville birthday idea. The site can connect you with everything from hip, modern lofts to beautiful, classic homes, to quaint cafes and high-end restaurants that can also double as event venues for a night (plus so much more).

Go the foodie route

For some insight into Nashville’s event venue offerings, our first example is this rustic bar in Sylvan Park, which makes up “part of a restaurant that serves traditional BBQ with a twist — using tomatillo & chorizo products from Mexico, for example.” If you host a party here, you can even have the BBQ restaurant cater with their mouthwatering and unique food. To quote one of several positive reviewers, “This place was AMAZING!!! I planned a surprise Birthday party for my wife’s 40th and it couldn’t have turned out better. The staff made everything really easy and virtually stress free. The food was awesome, the room was clean and comfortable.”

Go historic

And another example, if you want to go in a unique and genuinely historic direction with your choice of venue: this castle recording studio in nearby Franklin, Tennessee. It has an unbelievable past: “Built in 1932 by a Chicago mobster, over the past 100 years the Castle has served as an underground casino, speakeasy, high-end restaurant, riding academy, residence, and since 1983 a world class recording studio.” Plus, you’ll have tons of privacy and access to nature while you’re here, as the castle itself is located on 42 acres of fields and cedar forest. A reviewer who booked her birthday party for 30 here wrote, “A fantastic experience! Lance [the host] was extremely communicative and kind. It was a beautiful space rich with history.”
