A few months ago I went to my neighbor’s surprise 40th birthday party. They are such amazing people that I wanted to do something special. I decide to help by making a photo backdrop and photo booth props. If you have a friend named “Brad” you will also be happy to know I have a special printable just for you. Here is my black white and gold 40th birthday party with printable photo booth props.
This party was an evening cocktail party so we placed votive and floating candles in cylinder vases as centerpieces.
I also framed some of the printables I designed (get them for free below) and placed them on the tables in black and white frames.
Making the Photo Booth Backdrop
Since I live down the street, I built a 6-foot-tall wooden frame on wheels to use as the backdrop and simple wheeled it over to their back yard. I draped and pinned black table clothes around the frame. On the front, I made a black, white, and gold balloon arch using a combination of safety pins, string, and tape to hang it all up.
I placed the photo booth props on tables next to the backdrop in vases.
40th Birthday Party Photo Booth Props
I made different photo booth props and glued them to glittered card stock, using paper straws and sticks.
- +/- 40 and Fabulous!
- Who are these people?
- Don’t tag me in this photo!
- Drank too much.

The photo booth was a definite hit. It broke the ice for some, and created lots of laughs and fun memories.
